At Caerleon Comprehensive School, we are extremely proud of our students and their achievements. It has been a privilege to work with young people who have wholeheartedly bought into the spirit of the Welsh Baccalaureate Qualification. This is reflected in an outstanding 57% of our year 13 cohort attaining the A*/A standard.  Our community of staff and students have invested a great deal of time and energy into this challenging, worthwhile qualification. Students have seized the opportunity to think critically and problem solve with a high degree of independence and social awareness.

The Welsh Baccalaureate Qualification has enabled our students to develop essential skills and compete like never before for top university places. This has contributed to the school establishing a new record for students securing their first or insurance offers. Through the WBQ, students now have the opportunity to demonstrate just how much they are capable of independently and beyond the classroom, which is clearly giving them the edge they need in hugely competitive academic and vocational marketplaces.
