We are delighted to be awarded the foundation level of the British Council's International School Award in recognition of our work to bring the world into the classroom.

The International School Award celebrates the achievements of schools that do 'exceptional' work in international education.

Work at the school includes Pupil Language Ambassadors project, which aims to train and recruit students as language ambassadors in the school.

Headteacher, Lana Picton, said, "We are very pleased that the school is the recipient of such a prestigious award.  The International school award provides well deserved recognition to our language ambassadors, our languages teaching team and to our parents and pupils who understand the importance of language learning and fully embrace our international links and relations."

Stephen Hull, Senior Project Manager at the British Council, said "The school's dedication to internationalism is enriching education for its pupils by bringing and essential global dimension to learning and encouraging the development of skills children need to be global citizens of the future."
