Following a recent workshop by Oxplore, an innovative new digital outreach program from the University of Oxford some of our students entered a ‘Big Question Competition’.

We were delighted to discover that 2 of our students were winners. Akeel Miah and Lewis Oram from Y10 won first prize for their big question ‘Why should we care about colonisation’.

The prize for first place was a trip for both of them to the Oxplore national launch;  On Wednesday 20 September 2017 they travelled to Pembroke College, for a day themed on ‘Would you want to live forever?’ with workshops from Oxford specialists and a visit to one of Oxford’s museums.  The day ended with voting on the question, the launch of the Oxplore website, and with Akeel and Lewis being recognised for their winning question.  The also go to hear an Oxford academic answer the question!
