We finally managed to celebrate St David's Day on March 12th and the Criw Cymraeg were amazing at telling Y7 all about the history of St David.  A number of departments held homework competitions and it was a great opportunity to share these successes in the Assembly.  The Geography Department had cupboards full of models of sustainable stadiums and was told it was a tough decision but  Joseph Czajkowski 7M2 model stood out and won first prize.  Duarte Fernades M2 also came first with his Geography poster.  Sonia Marwaha won first prize for her RE work and Ruby Pearce came first in the Chemistry competition.

The chairing of the bard ceremony was won by Freddie Howells although the Welsh Department had some very difficult decisions to make as the standard of the competition was extremely high.  Year 7 were asked to write a poem about what Wales is to them and the winner - Freddie Howells had written passionately and from the heart and it was clear from the very beginning that he is proud to be Welsh.
Bendigedig!
