Abergavenny Eisteddfod Young People's event 21st  April

The 11 - 18 section of the Abergavenny Eisteddfod will be held at King Henry VIII School on 21st April this year. Competitions include Story and Mime, Story Telling and original Music Composition in addition to Reading at First Sight (no preparation needed!), the Battle of the Bands and many other dance, recitation, singing and instrumental competitions for groups and individuals. Abergavenny Town Council also organise the Art and Photography competitions (please refer to link on website).

Competitors are welcome to perform in English or Welsh. 

Competition winners (1st,2nd and 3rd) gain prizes of up to £25 aged 15-18 and up to £15 for 11-14 year olds.

MFY - Newport Centre - Friday 24th March

Congratulations to all those who performed at the Newport Centre on Friday 24th March in the regional round of Music for Youth.  All groups had excellent adjudications and should be extremely proud of themselves.
